Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino have secured their 5th consecutive win at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood. 
After the first five stages of the 100 Acre Wood Rally yesterday, Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino will be starting day two sitting well in third place. 
While over the past week, Mr. Block has been a bit more focused on getting the MWRT Ford Fiesta dialed in for it's maiden gravel race this weekend at 100 Acre Wood, he will also be breaking in a fresh new pair of DC Shoes Pro Spec 2.0s. Ones that just happen to match his Alpinestars suit and the Fiesta's livery (a total coincidence, we swear!). 
Since Ken Block and Alex Gelsominoʼs first race at the 100 Acre Wood Rally in 2006, the two have dominated the competition, consistently taking first place every year since. This weekend theyʼre looking to secure a repeat performance, a.k.a. the “5-peat.” 
Rally types don’t often sleep in. With first service at 6:45 AM, it was a startling start for Ken and Alex who were only one day off a plane from California. For those still counting on their hands, that’s 10:45 PM PST. Yes, the night before. 
With Rally Mexico just around the corner, and nothing to do this weekend, Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino headed north, WAY north to Rally Sweden in an effort to familiarize themselves with the M-Sport crew before MWRT's WRC March debut. 
Last week after the WRC's official season launch event in Paris, the Monster World Rally Team headed north to M-Sport's headquarters in sunny ol' Cockermouth, England for some much needed seat time in the MWRT Focus RS WRC. Unfortunately, Block and Gelsomino were greeted with a few inches of white stuff covering the once gravel test stage they were set to run. 
To kick off the 2010 rally season, the WRC held a press conference in Paris on Tuesday, February 2nd. It was your classic junket—loads of media, cameras and and a bevy of finger foods...plus some of the greatest drivers in the world. Sebastian Loeb, Petter Solberg, Mikko Hirvonen and Kimi Räikkönen to name a few.
